Tartaruga (meaning ‘turtle’ in Portuguese) is a 5 bedroom private villa, sleeping up to 14 adults and children.  Set within 3 acres of forest and with 130 metres of pristine beachfront, it offers absolute exclusivity and privacy. 

There are 3 en-suite double/twin rooms, each with their own private deck, living area and fridge.  A further 2 rooms are situated up in the “treehouses” (3 single beds in each which can convert into a super-king and a single).   These treehouses are linked by a star gazing deck, which sits in the tree canopy, and work for adults or children alike.

The master suite has a large dressing room, generous living area and adjoining bedroom for younger children.  The other suites are spaciously located, giving them maximum privacy and a private, jungle feel.

The main living area has a striking palm thatch roof, supported by magnificent pillars of locally collected casuarina driftwood.  Its open sides lead on to a vast deck, home to the saltwater swimming pool, which flows into the landscaped gardens leading down to the ocean.  Adjacent to the living area is a shaded outside gazebo, with a further dining area located at the edge of the beach. The local coral limestone walls, and hand-carved windows and doors are a distinctive feature of this beautiful villa.

Tartaruga is staffed with a private chef and hospitality team and has its own 4x4 car with driver.  It is equipped with wi-fi, projector and a Bose music system.  Herbs, salads and vegetables are grown in its own garden, and flowers and foliage fill the house.

An array of sailing boats, paddleboards and kayaks are available for guests along with fishing, diving, dhow sailing, nature walks, community visits and picnics.
